Quizzes and exams
Creating a quiz, adding questions, publishing it, and seeing how students did.
Create a quiz
- Open Quizzes and press New quiz
- Enter a Title, then choose the Scope (explained below)
- If you chose One course, pick the Course
- Set Duration (minutes, optional), Passing score (%) and Max attempts
- Press Create quiz
| Scope | Who can take it |
|---|---|
| Whole academy | Every student at your academy, enrolled or not |
| One course | Only students enrolled in that course |
| Embedded in a lesson | Meant to sit inside a lesson. Students can't take these yet. |
Students can't take quizzes inside lessons yet; opening one shows "coming soon". Use Whole academy or One course for now. The Scope can't be changed later, and leaving Duration blank means no time limit.
Add questions
- On the quiz card, press Manage questions →
- Press Add question and choose the question Type
- Enter the Question text and Points, then mark the correct answer
| Type | What it is |
|---|---|
| Single choice | Several options, one correct |
| Multiple choice | More than one correct option. Getting some right earns part of the marks. |
| True / false | True or false |
| Short answer | The student types the answer. Match mode sets how it's checked; Case-insensitive ignores capital letters, for example. |
| Numeric | The answer is a number |
Every question type is marked for you, so there's nothing to check by hand. A question's Type can't be changed later.
Give questions a topic (like Algebra) and the student progress report shows which topics each student is weak in.
A few more settings
You'll also find these when you create or edit a quiz:
- Shuffle question order per attempt: each student gets the questions in a different order
- Shuffle answer options per attempt: the options are mixed up too
- Show correct answers after submission: students see the right answers once they submit
- Question pool size: to give each student only some questions from a larger bank, enter how many
Publish it
A new quiz is a Draft that students can't see. Once it has at least one question, press Publish on its card.
How to tell it worked: The card says Published, and students find the quiz on their আমার পরীক্ষা page.
See the results
- On the quiz's page, View attempts shows who took it, their score, and whether they passed
- To give someone more time, use Grant time there and add extra minutes
- View analytics shows the Average score, the Pass rate, and how students did on each question
