SMS and chat
Sending SMS to groups of students, and answering messages that come in from your website.
Send an SMS
- Open SMS & campaigns
- Under Recipients, choose Course students, Due payments or Custom numbers
- Course students needs a course. For Due payments, leaving the course blank reaches everyone who owes money. For Custom numbers, type the numbers yourself, up to 500 at a time.
- Under Message, choose Write a message and type it, or pick one with Use a template
- Press Preview recipients to check who gets it, then press Send campaign
Once sent it can't be undone, so it's worth checking Preview recipients first.
How to tell it worked: The SMS shows in the History tab.
Messages you send often
In the Templates tab, press New template and save the message. Write {{studentName}}, {{courseName}} or {{dueAmount}} in it and each student gets their own name, course and amount owed.
Whose account sends the SMS
If you add your own SMS gateway (BulkSMSBD) under Payment & SMS gateways, every SMS goes through that account and is paid for there. If you don't, it goes through ours.
During the trial you can send a limited number of SMS through our account. After the trial ends, SMS stays off until you top up your wallet.
Answer chat messages
Chat inbox brings together messages from website visitors, your students and the TutorEngine team. Open a conversation, type in Write a reply…, and press Send.
You can press Close when you're done, but a closed conversation can't be reopened from here.
