TutorEngine provides software that lets a tutor or coaching centre run its own online academy. This policy explains what we collect from the people who sign up for that software, and what we do with it.

Who this policy covers

This policy covers academy owners, teachers and staff who use TutorEngine to run an academy.

If you are a student of an academy that runs on TutorEngine, your relationship is with that academy, not with us. That academy decides what it collects from you and answers your questions about it. We process that information only on the academy's behalf, in order to run the software.

What we collect

• Your mobile number, which is how accounts are identified and how you sign in.
• Your name, and the name and address of the academy you run.
• Records of your subscription: which plan you are on, what you have paid, and when.
• Basic technical information such as sign-in times and error logs, used to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

We use this information to give you access to the platform, to bill you for your subscription, to send you service messages about your account, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell it to anyone.

Content you upload

Videos, notes, question banks and other material you upload remain yours. We store and serve them so your academy works. We do not use them to train anything, and we do not share them with other academies.

Academies are kept separate

One person may be an owner at one academy and a student at another. Each academy's data is separated from every other academy's, and an action you take in one has no effect on your standing in another.

Payments

Two different payments happen on this platform, and they are handled differently.

• Your subscription to TutorEngine is taken through our payment gateway provider. Your card or mobile banking details are entered on the provider's own secure page and are never stored on our servers.
• Payments from your students go to your academy's own gateway account. We do not hold that money at any point.

Keeping your information

We keep your account and billing records for as long as your academy exists, and for as long afterwards as the law requires. If you close your academy you can ask us to delete your account, and you can export your content first.
