Adding and enrolling students
What happens when a student enrols on their own, and how to add someone yourself.
When a student enrols themselves
Do this first
Once your website is open, a student logs in with their phone number from a course page, pays, and is enrolled. There's nothing for you to do.
How to tell it worked: The student shows in Students, their course in Enrollments, and the payment in Transactions.
Add a student yourself
For a student who signs up in person, you can add them yourself. Keep the student with you, because the code goes to their phone.
- Open Students and press Add student
- Enter the student's Phone number and press Send OTP
- Ask the student for the code they received, enter it, and press Verify & add
How to tell it worked: The student appears in the Students list.
Give someone a course for free
For a scholarship student, or someone who paid you in cash, you can open a course without an online payment.
- Open Enrollments and press Grant free access
- Choose the Student and the Course
- If you like, note why under Reason, such as "paid in cash"
- Press Grant access
The student has to be in Students first. Cash taken this way doesn't show up as income in Transactions or Reports.
How to tell it worked: The student shows against that course in Enrollments.
